USA Customer Needed Automatic Mesh Production Solution
A customer from the United States recently contacted DAPU looking for a wire mesh welding machine for construction mesh panel and roll mesh production.
The customer mainly supplies welded wire mesh products for local construction and industrial applications in the U.S. market. Because the factory planned to produce both welded mesh panels and welded mesh rolls, the customer required a flexible production solution capable of supporting multiple mesh production methods on one production line.
According to the customer’s production requirements, the machine needed to process steel wire diameters from 3 mm to 8 mm.
The customer’s raw material was steel wire coils. Longitudinal wires would be fed directly from wire coils during production, while cross wires needed to be straightened and cut before entering the welding process.
Because labor costs in the U.S. market are relatively high, the customer also required a highly automated production line to reduce manual operation during continuous production.
DAPU Engineers Designed Customized Mesh Production Solution
After discussing the customer’s production requirements and factory layout, DAPU engineers provided a customized automatic welded mesh production solution.
The production line included:
- One 3-8mm wire straightening and cutting machine
- One automatic wire mesh welding machine
- Coil-fed longitudinal wire system
- Pneumatic resistance welding system
- Servo mesh pulling system
- Automatic mesh dropping system
- Automatic transportation system
- Automatic roll mesh system
The wire straightening and cutting machine was mainly used to prepare cross wires with accurate cutting length before welding.
Because the customer planned to produce welded mesh rolls in addition to mesh panels, DAPU also added an automatic mesh rolling system for continuous roll mesh production.
Compared with traditional manual mesh handling methods, the automatic dropping and transportation systems significantly reduce labor requirements during continuous production.
Coil-Fed Wire System Improved Production Efficiency
Unlike traditional reinforcing mesh production lines that use pre-cut wires for both longitudinal and cross wires, this project adopted a coil-fed longitudinal wire system.
Longitudinal wires are continuously fed from steel wire coils directly into the wire mesh welding machine during production.
Cross wires are processed separately by the wire straightening and cutting machine before entering the welding area.
This production method improves feeding efficiency and reduces manual wire preparation work during large-scale mesh production.
For continuous welded mesh roll production, stable wire feeding tension is especially important for maintaining mesh flatness and consistent mesh dimensions.
Automatic Mesh Handling Reduced Labor Requirements
One of the customer’s main concerns was reducing labor dependence during long production shifts.
To meet this requirement, DAPU engineers equipped the production line with:
- Automatic mesh dropping system
- Automatic transportation system
- Automatic roll mesh collection system
After welding, finished mesh panels are automatically dropped onto the transportation system and transferred for collection.
When producing welded mesh rolls, the automatic rolling system continuously collects the welded mesh into rolls without requiring manual handling during production.
Because labor costs are relatively high in the U.S. market, automatic mesh handling systems help improve overall production efficiency and reduce long-term operating costs.
Customer Quickly Confirmed Equipment Order
During the project discussion process, the customer focused heavily on:
- Production automation level
- Mesh production flexibility
- Continuous roll mesh production capability
- Machine stability
- After-sales service support
DAPU engineers provided detailed production videos, machine operating information, and customized production recommendations according to the customer’s factory requirements.
After reviewing the proposed production solution, the customer quickly confirmed the machine configuration and placed the order for the automatic wire mesh welding production line.
DAPU Engineers Provided Overseas Installation And Commissioning Service
After production was completed, the welded mesh production line was shipped to the customer’s factory in the United States.
To help the customer start production smoothly, DAPU engineers traveled to the customer’s factory to provide on-site installation and commissioning service.
During the installation process, engineers assisted with:
- Machine assembly
- Pneumatic welding adjustment
- Servo pulling parameter setup
- Wire feeding adjustment
- Roll mesh system testing
- Operator training
Because the production line included automatic roll mesh production, engineers also adjusted wire tension and rolling parameters on-site to improve roll mesh flatness and collection stability.
After installation and testing were completed, the customer expressed satisfaction with the machine operation, automation level, and production efficiency.
Automatic Wire Mesh Welding Machines For Panel And Roll Mesh Production
Automatic wire mesh welding machines are widely used for manufacturing:
- Construction mesh panels
- Welded wire mesh rolls
- Industrial welded mesh
- Agricultural welded mesh
- Infrastructure mesh products
Compared with manual mesh production methods, automatic welded mesh production lines improve:
- Production efficiency
- Mesh consistency
- Continuous production capability
- Labor cost control
- Production automation level
For factories producing both mesh panels and mesh rolls, customized automatic production systems help improve production flexibility and reduce equipment investment compared with operating separate production lines.
DAPU continues to provide customized welded mesh production solutions for customers involved in construction mesh manufacturing and industrial welded mesh production worldwide.
